Pay a bond

Use this page when a bail amount has been set and you are ready to pay the premium. You will identify the person in custody, learn the crypto step for the exchange you use, and take one invoice with one address.

Payment policy Cryptocurrency only. Cryptocurrency only — Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Solana. No cash, credit cards, checks, or bank transfers.
The invoice One asset. One network. One address. Nothing is charged here; the invoice page shows what to send and verifies it on-chain.
Co-signers Optional at this step. Leave the number blank if you do not know yet. The application still goes through.

Down payment with a co-signer, or a payment plan

The office can accept a down payment with an approved co-signer and set up a payment plan for the balance. The agreement, the amount due at posting and the schedule are confirmed in writing before the bond is written. Same-day release is the goal; the jail controls the release queue.

Step one

The person in custody

The bond is written against a named person and a booking. The first and last name, the state, and the inmate number are what let the office match the payment to the right case.

Choose the state where the person is in custody. For a location not listed, call before sending anything.

The booking or inmate number from the jail. It is usually on the booking sheet.

The full bail figure, not the premium. If bail has not been set, call the office; this page cannot create a bond before a magistrate sets it.

Step two

Learn the crypto step before you send

Pick the exchange or app you already use. The guide plays the exact sequence for buying Bitcoin and sending it to the invoice address. Captions stay on screen; the voiceover is optional and runs in your browser.

Choose your route

Buy and send Bitcoin with the app you use

Cash App Bitcoin is first because it is the shortest route for most phones. Coinbase and MoonPay are here because they are common. None of them is affiliated with this office.

Cash App

Open Cash App and tap Bitcoin

Finish identity verification if Cash App asks. Choose Bitcoin — not stocks or a different coin — and tap Buy.

Step 1: Open Cash App, tap Bitcoin, and choose Buy. Do not send anything yet.

The invoice page is the only place a deposit address is printed. Do not copy an address from a text message, a social post, or this guide. If an app asks for a Lightning invoice, or offers a different network, stop and call the office.

Step three

Co-signers

A co-signer is an indemnitor: an adult who accepts responsibility for the bond if the person in custody misses court. Tell us how many you expect, or leave it blank.

Optional. Blank means zero and the application still goes through. Names are optional too — the office can collect them before signing.

Step four

Your contact and the invoice

The invoice is issued in your name and tied to the person in custody. Choose the asset you will actually send; the invoice will fix the network and the address.

The invoice opens on this screen. Add an email only if you want a copy; the office can also text the link.

Enter the county jail or facility named on the booking sheet.

Pay with

The exchange guide above is written for Bitcoin. If you choose another asset, buy it on a platform that supports the exact network printed on your invoice.

Call before paying

Pressing this button creates a record and an invoice; it does not send any money and does not sign an agreement. The next page shows the one address for this invoice.
